The German Embassy in New Delhi, together with One Inch Dreams, organised a day-long event featuring Indian and German slackliners at the Red Fort in New Delhi today. The unique collaborative performance is part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the Indian government’s celebrations on the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence. This open-to-all event at the Lahori Gate promotes Indo-German friendship and brings together many people to enjoy adventure-sports, arts and music.

German slackline athlete Alexander Schulz has just walked across the first established highline at the Macloeods Maidens on the isle of Skye. In order to realize this feat, he and a team of international adventurers sailed all the way up from London and climbed the sea stacks.

In the midst of the Corona crisis, extreme athletes Alexander Schulz and Rafael Bridi set a world record by walking the first slackline above an active vulcano, being sourrounded by lava bombs and ash fall during their 260m long stroll across the caldera of Mount Yasur on the remote island of Tanna (Vanuatu).
